EmPower HR is looking to grow our team with self-motivated, thoughtful, smart and successful colleagues. Currently we have an opening for a Payroll Specialist who will be a direct point of contact working with multiple clients as well as their employees. The role will include taking on tasks such as making client and employee level changes, processing payroll from start to finish and providing excellent customer service.

\*\*Primary Responsibilities for Payroll Specialist:\*\*
  • Monitor each client’s unique payroll calendar to process time & attendance data into the payroll system while consistently meeting deadlines each payroll cycle
  • Manage daily work-flow to ensure all processing occurs accurately, timely and compliantly
  • Provide ongoing client and employee support via phone and email regarding payroll and benefits administration
  • Process and verify indicative data including but not limited to new hire paperwork, benefit enrollments, benefit terminations, tax elections, voluntary deductions, wage attachments, employee terminations and compensation adjustments
  • Process and audit employee and employer specific benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, Voluntary Life, STD, LTD and additional ancillary benefits
  • Complete full pay cycle reconciliations utilizing internal audit methods and resources
  • Audit a wide range of personnel action forms and payroll documents

Education Level:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ yrs of payroll processing experience
  • Payroll related software experience
  • MS Office Suite
  • Solutions focused
  • Excellent communications

Good To Have

  • Payroll Professional Certification a plus
