Summary

Job Description

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections)
  • Process new customer credit references and assign credit limits and terms
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses/reconciliation
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist Chief Financial Officer with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Perform all duties of ERP Cost Accountant, inventory reporting, and preparation of inventory-related journal entries and special analysis as requested by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Continuous improvement: Analyze existing accounting processes and procedures in order to recommend improvements in both strategy and operations, including methods to extensively utilize the ERP system to improve efficiency.
  • Provide support to the payroll processing function
  • Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements
  • Additional accounting duties/special projects as necessary

Education Level:

Bachelors Degree

Must Haves

  • Five (5) or more years of multi-functional accounting experience required, Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related discipline required, MBA and/or CMA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with GL functions
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with month-end/year-end close process
  • Strong business process and documentation skills; capable of developing effective processes, enhancing existing processes, and producing high quality results.
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent organizational skills; effective in planning, prioritizing and managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and experience with cash management, including performing international wire transfers, ACH payments, and maintaining lines of credit
  • Experience with strategic financial projects, including new system implementation
  • Advanced skills in using an ERP system preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Advanced skills with accounting software and databases
  • Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both under supervision and independently

¤50,000.00 - ¤65,000.00  Yearly
